With school underway for most of the Nashville area, chances are, if you’re a parent, you’ve been extremely busy lately. Even if you only have one school-aged child, you have probably been driving all over town picking up new clothes, supplies, and everything else needed for the school year. And if your car hasn’t been able to keep up very well – or perhaps its lack of size is a hindrance – it’s probably time to think about something more family friendly, such as the Nissan Rogue.

Space and Comfort

The Nissan Rogue may be a smaller SUV, but it’s quite roomy inside and fits five passengers. To make getting in and out easier, the second row slides and tilts. Cloth upholstery is standard but leather is available, as are heated and power-adjustable front seats and a driver’s seat with memory settings. For its class, the Nissan Rogue has some of the biggest cargo space. Behind the second row, you will get 39.3 cubic feet. When it’s down, this increases to 70 cubic feet. That’s enough room for backpacks, school supplies, and more!

Safety

Safety is paramount when driving to and from school, and the 2019 Nissan Rogue comes with an assortment of standard safety features that would typically require upgrades in other vehicles. These include pedestrian detection, high-beam assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring. You can also get rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and ProPILOT® assist semi-autonomous driving.

Power and Performance

The 2019 Nissan Rogue comes with a 4-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower. This is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available, but whichever you choose you will get a smooth ride and composed handling, even for those icy mornings in the winter. One of the standout features of the Nissan Rogue is its excellent fuel economy. When you opt for front-wheel drive, you will get 26 mpg for city driving and 33 mpg on the highway.
