In 1969, Datsun released its 240Z, a sports car that quickly took the U.S. by storm. Because it almost immediately started showing up on racetracks around the country – sporting a red, white, and blue livery – Americans jumped at the chance to drive their own little sporty racers. And now, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Nissan has unveiled its 2020 370Z, a model that pays homage to the 240Z.

On Your Mark …

The 2020 Nissan 370Z has two different color schemes that mimic the Datsun models that were used by Brock Racing Enterprises. One has a red and white motif and the other is silver and black. Both have signature BRE racing stripes on the doors, along with a painted hood, trunk, and side mirrors. The front and rear both feature 50th anniversary badging.

Get Set …

Inside the Nissan 370Z, you will also find the 50th anniversary logo embossed on the leather and suede seats, as well as in the tachometer. Other interior features include an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel that has a hash mark at the 12 o’clock position, new skid plates, dark chrome accents, and synthetic suede door inserts.

Go!

While the 2020 Nissan 370Z pays tribute to a car that’s a half-century old, the amenities are all modern. It features a 3.7-liter V6 engine that generates 332 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque, and either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission. The base model includes a seven-inch touchscreen display, navigation system, Bluetooth® streaming audio, and high-intensity discharge bi-functional xenon headlights.

If you’ve always wondered what it would be like to get behind the wheel of a racecar, Nissan of Cookeville can help you get pretty close. Stop in to test drive the brand-new Nissan 370Z today!
