The 2020 Nissan 370Z Pays Tribute to a Legendary Auto

In 1969, Datsun released its 240Z, a sports car that quickly took the U.S. by storm. Because it almost immediately started showing up on racetracks around the country – sporting a red, white, and blue livery – Americans jumped at the chance to drive their own little sporty racers. And now, to celebrate its 50^th anniversary, Nissan has unveiled its 2020 370Z, a model that pays homage to the 240Z.

On Your Mark …

The 2020 Nissan 370Z has two different color schemes that mimic the Datsun models that were used by Brock Racing Enterprises. One has a red and white motif and the other is silver and black. Both have signature BRE racing stripes on the doors, along with a painted hood, trunk, and side mirrors. The front and rear both feature 50^th anniversary badging.

Inside the Nissan 370Z, you will also find the 50^th anniversary logo embossed on the leather and suede seats, as well as in the tachometer. Other interior features include an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel that has a hash mark at the 12 o’clock position, new skid plates, dark chrome accents, and synthetic suede door inserts.

While the 2020 Nissan 370Z pays tribute to a car that’s a half-century old, the amenities are all modern. It features a 3.7-liter V6 engine that generates 332 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque, and either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission. The base model includes a seven-inch touchscreen display, navigation system, Bluetooth® streaming audio, and high-intensity discharge bi-functional xenon headlights.
