SUVs are great, but when it comes to things like maneuverability and fuel economy, it’s often hard to beat a sedan. If you’re in the market for a new car, for these reasons and more, you should take a look at the 2020 Nissan Altima.

Power and Performance

The new 2020 Nissan Altima has two engine choices, with the base unit starting out as a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder that produces 188 horsepower. The other option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 248 horsepower. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) comes with either engine. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available, and this is rare for a sedan. The 2020 Nissan Altima has sharp steering and a firm suspension system, and it also has excellent gas mileage, getting 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.

Space and Comfort

The 2020 Nissan Altima has a lot of head- and legroom, so there is plenty of space for up to five people. A power-adjustable driver’s seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and cloth upholstery all come standard. You can also get leather upholstery, sport seats, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. In addition to the cabin, this new Nissan also has a roomy trunk that contains 15.4 cubic feet of space.

Tech and Safety

If you’re looking for advanced features, you’ll love what the 2020 Nissan Altima offers. Standard tech features include the NissanConnect® infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, two USB ports, remote start, Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ integration, and Bluetooth® connectivity. Navigation, HD radio, and a nine-speaker stereo are also available. Standard safety features include a rearview camera and a pre-collision warning and braking system. You can also get traffic sign recognition, reverse automatic braking, and pedestrian detection.
