Nissan Tops JD Power Awards

Most Americans have heard of the J.D. Powers awards if for no other reason than the fact all automakers take immense pride in being recognized by this organization and for their vehicles receiving one or more of these prestigious awards. Every year J.D. Powers collates the latest data regarding consumer opinions about the many different vehicles for sale during that model year. It is the intent of these awards to help guide consumers towards making better and more informed decisions.

Annual Awards

Each year J.D. Powers sends out millions of surveys to consumers around the country asking pointed questions about the vehicles they have purchased. The results of the information provided by these surveys are used to determine the rankings of every new vehicle sold in the U.S. J.D. Powers uses only the numerical scores to determine which vehicles will receive one of their prestigious awards and how the rest of them are ranked. Among the 2015 winners are the 2015 Nissan Sentra, winner of the compact car segment and the 2015 Nissan Quest, winner of the minivan segment.

What many people may not realize is just how important these awards are both to the consumer and the buying public. Any time a vehicle receives one of these prestigious awards, it proves that the vehicle is considered to be at the top of its class in important categories such as overall quality, fit finish, reliability, and more importantly safety. No other award is considered to be as important or as reliable an indicator of the vehicle receiving it being worthy of buying. To the manufactures, receipt of these awards means that the public trusts them and it also means increased sales.

The 2015 Nissan Sentra

This year the 2015 Nissan Sentra has been fortunate enough to be the recipient of one of these highly prestigious awards. Buyers were surveyed after they had owned their Sentras for three months, which according to J.D. Powers is the time at which the “newness” starts to wear off. It is also the point at which many problems with new cars begin to show.

The compact sedan market is considered to be one of the most competitive and difficult to master. This year the surveys were sent out between February and May and covered a total of more than 89,000 buyers, including those who purchased Nissan Sentras. According to the results of this survey, the 2015 Nissan Sentra was found to be the best in overall quality, value, style, safety, and in several other areas. This means buyers can now purchase a new 2015 Nissan Sentra confident in the fact they are truly getting one of the best compact cars on the market today.

The 2015 Nissan Quest

Much like the compact car segment, the minivan market has been a tough battlefield for many years. Over the course of the past four decades, there have been a number of winners of the J.D. Powers best in class series. For the 2015 model year, the clear winner is the Nissan Quest. This year the Quest received best in class ratings in all major categories.

Among these are overall quality, powertrain and overall mechanical quality. The Quest also received best in class ratings for body and interior, features and accessories, and design quality. Clearly these ratings show that the 2015 Nissan Quest is far and above the best minivan on the market and represents a great investment for anyone who is looking for a great all-purpose family vehicle. For the buyer this prestigious award ensures you are investing your hard earned money in a vehicle you can count on to provide you with many years of reliable performance.
