Enterprise CarShare

It is a well-known fact that most college students tend to struggle financially, leaving many without the money for a car of their own. While being without a car may work well for many, there are times when a college student simply needs a car and does not have one or anyone to borrow one from. Furthermore owning a car tends to be very expensive when you stop to consider the cost of the vehicle, insurance, and fuel.

A Better Idea Comes to College Campuses in Nashville

The City of Nashville is proud to announce a partnership between Nissan and Enterprise Rent-a-Car called Enterprise CarShare. This program has been developed to bring affordable rental cars to college students, not only in Nashville but also at colleges and universities around the country. This program can be used by college students, staff, and members of the faculty offering them all a more affordable way to get their chores and errands done.

As part of this program Enterprise has teamed up with Nissan to supply more than 90 different campuses around the country with vehicles to those in need. While car sharing is definitely nothing new, college students have been doing this for decades, the idea of a car rental company getting involved in the action certainly is.

For those who are interested in the Enterprise CarShare program, there is a special incentive. Running through December 31st, 2015, the program is offering a special rate of only $5 per hour as a way to get everyone involved in the program. Imagine being able to rent a car to get your shopping or laundry done, or go see your parents for only $5 per hour.

According to CarShare Vice President Ryan Johnson, “Enterprise CarShare is a convenient, affordable alternative for college students that makes fun daytrips with friends, grocery shopping, driving to job interviews and everything in between much easier. Our partnership with Nissan rewards our members with two major benefits: access to a variety of highly-rated Nissan vehicles, and even lower hourly rates.”

This statement pretty much says it all, students, staff, and faculty can all have access to the newest vehicles from world leader Nissan at rates that are guaranteed not to break the bank. This strategic plan to target college campuses such as Lipscomb, Belmont, and Vanderbilt is designed to help college students, staff, and faculty with affordable transportation. Each of the campuses have direct access to the rentals via online or phone reservation and there are always plenty of vehicles available through the Enterprise Rent-a-Car network.

Making the Transition

In many ways using the Enterprise CarShare program is a great way to get the little things in life done when you don’t have your own transportation. However, it is also a great way for everyone to test drive the many amazing vehicles offered by Nissan. In fact you might consider this program as a way to take several Nissan vehicles for an extended test drive.

What about when you graduate from college? For those who have recently graduated from college, Nissan offers their College Grad program. The cost of a new vehicle is often beyond someone who has recently graduated, but this program offers a wide range of incentives designed to help students make the transition into the workplace. This program offers discounts, “no haggle pricing” and the lowest possible financing rates to help them buy a new or pre-owned Nissan vehicle. The Enterprise CarShare program offers students in Nashville an affordable way to get things done while in school and when followed up with taking advantage of the College Grad program can lead to affordable ownership.
